- Demonetising of 500 and 1000 currency notes from midnight.
- New currency notes of 500 and 2000 will be introduced from 10/11/2016
- Old notes can be deposited in banks and post offices till 30/12/2016.
- Banks on 9/11/2016 and ATM on 9/11/2016 and 10/11/2016 to be closed.
- Withdrawal limit: 10000/day and 20000/week.
- Exchange: not more than 4000/day.
P.M Narender Modi stood up with his sayings in election campaigns by raging war against corruption and black money. It was the first time such a fantabulous action is taken against the corruption to unearth unaccounted and counterfeit currency.
